This update is long overdue, I apologize for the delay. First, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Matt McHugh (class of '03) and I'm the new Information Officer for the MVAA. Many thanks to Jim Davis for his years of service as IO. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for this website, the e-mail listserv, and (most importantly) an online registration system for Band Day. Speaking of Band Day, we now have a date for the 35th Anniversary celebration! Mark your calendars for Homecoming, October 10th, against Boston College. Stay tuned to this page for further details. Finally, the MVs are building a house in honor of Ryan "Stack" Clark. This project is a collaboration between the MVs, the Town of Blacksburg, and Community Housing Partners. Construction began on May 11th and the dedication ceremony will be on Saturday, June 20th. You can find pictures on the MV website. - Previous

Most of you know about the successful endowment campaign we completed some time ago. If you think it's too late to give because that campaign is over, you're wrong. It's never too late to help the Marching Virginians remain one of the top university marching bands in the country. I have added a "GIVING" button on the menu. I encourage you to check it out. It takes you to a website which explains the endowment, the "Spirit Of Tech Club" and what you can do to help. These are exciting times for the MVs and we hope you will be a part of it. Matt McHugh |
