Benjamin gozzi
Ben is currently studying at Virginia Tech majoring in Multimedia Journalism. Now in his third season with the Marching Virginians, Ben is beyond excited to keep forming relationships with his saxophone section family and to continue to cherish every moment he spends with the entire Spirit of Tech. He is beyond excited to continue to expand his communicative skills as the Marketing and Communications Officer for The Marching Virginians. Outside of band, Ben loves to be physically active, game online with his friends, and spend time with his loved ones in Richmond, Va. Ben is extremely excited to grow as a multimedia specialist this season!

Cory Canacci
Cory is a freshman studying General Engineering with an interest in Civil/Environmental. Cory is excited to use her writing and communication skills on the multimedia team this year. Although she is a manager this year, she continues to play the saxophone and maintains her love of music. Cory is from Cleveland Ohio, making VT a home very far from home. Outside of marching band, Cory was a swimmer and a figure skater for 10 years before retiring from her teams. Cory is excited to contribute to the multimedia team for the Spirit of Tech!
Sarah-Faith mukuna
Sarah-Faith is a Biological Systems Engineering major with a triple minor in French, Sociology, and Chemistry. While this is not her first season in the MVs, this is her first year in the Tenor Saxophone section. She is most excited to experience game days from a completely different perspective. When not in band, she can be found running Tau Beta Sigma chapter meetings, reading a romance novel, or crocheting a new project.
anna payne
Anna is a senior studying cinema and multimedia journalism. This is her fourth season with the Marching Virginians, and her second season serving as section leader for the color guard. Her favorite part of being an MV is creating meaningful connections with so many amazing people. She hopes to spark more connections between our members, alumni, and anyone who tunes into the “Marching with the Virginians” blog! Outside of the band, she is a member of the cinema club, a lifestyle writer for the Collegiate Times, and loves watching a good movie.
antara rajgopal
Antara is currently a junior who is majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Statistics at Virginia Tech. She has also been in the colorguard for two seasons and is looking forward to the new shows and Tech traditions to continue! As a new member of the blog team, she is excited to join and outwardly express her love for the band. Outside of band, she is involved with her sorority, her technology fraternity, loves to hang out with her friends, and paint. The drive from her hometown in New Jersey is long, but the Marching Virginians have been her home away from home!
mya riner
Mya is a sophomore at Virginia Tech studying Public Relations with minors in Sustainability and Digital Marketing Strategy. This is Mya’s second season with the Marching Virginian Baritones and is so excited to share her love of the MVs with a broader audience and expand her communications skills. Actually, saying that Mya is only “excited” for this opportunity is an understatement – she is absolutely ecstatic! Outside of band, Mya loves time outdoors, playing sports, spending time with her cat, and just smiling everywhere she goes!
